Why go to Tenerife
The Canary Islands' year-round mild climate makes Tenerife one of the few package destinations that works as well in February as it does in July. The south of the island (Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos) is drier and more resort-focused; the north is greener and quieter.
Mount Teide, Spain's highest peak, is visible from much of the island and makes for a striking day trip by cable car. Flight time from the UK is around four hours.
